Went to watch this movie "SKY OF LOVE" last friday afternoon.. It was indeed a tear jerking movie..

The story was adapted from a cell-phone novel. SKY OF LOVE depicts the true story of an average girl’s three stormy years of high school filled with love, rape, pregnancy, miscarriage, parting and reunion.

Highschool girl, Mika (an innocent, pure and cute gal) was clueless about falling in love. One day, she recieved a call from an unknown boy, Hiro (white haired boy, a typical ah Beng, rebellious yet cute).. Romance then developed through their constant chatting on the phone. Things were going well for them.. until a fateful night on Christmas Eve. A couple of climaxes soon ensued which resulted in a tears-inducing finale.

Some parts of the plot were too dramatic I feel.. Eg. Hiro's ex girlfriend arranges for Mika to be kidnapped and raped as a humiliation tactic against Hiro & the part where they make love in the school library.

Although rebellious Hiro may seem, some of the things he done was so sweet.. You can't quite imagine that a typical Ah Beng would do. Mika was pregnant with Hiro's child and they decided to get married. However, Mika had a miscarriage on X'mas eve.. They then make a promise to come visit their baby's "grave" every X'mas eve. One day, Hiro was diagnosed with a terminal illness and did all sorts of hurtful things to make Mika leave him. They parted and only reunioned years later when Mika found out by chance Hiro's real reason for breaking up. Their happiness was shortlived as Hiro subsequently succumbed to his illness.

It was mostly girls who watched this movie.. Only a couple of guys came with their girlfriends. As usual la, I was crying while watching this show. Well, most of the girls do.. But we noticed a girl sitting next row to us, crying particularly loud! It was as if the main actor was her boyfriend or wat.. Joe was really surprised to see that. And he was laughing at her while I was crying away.. Zzz..

I don't know why I cried also la.. Is it because of the sad storyline or... Although halfway through the show, I had already know how this story is going to be since most Japanese or Korean movies follow the same story template. But I still cried anyway.. Hee.. But all in all, I still like this show!!
